Welcome Christmas – Freshly Made Sketch 116 and Friday Mashup 139

As a child, I had a friend with a large porch that had a ramp leading to her driveway.  When it would snow, we’d spend hours sliding down the ramp.  This stamp reminded me of those fun times!  I used Freshly Made Sketches 116 as my layout for the card and incorporated the Friday Mashup Challenge 139 of creating a winter theme and embossing.   Gorgeous Grunge worked fabulously for creating the snowy scene and my new tube of liquid applique added the finishing touch I desired of “real snow!”

    1. Thank you Narelle — the liquid applique is still a new medium for me; I really like the effect it gives for a winter scene!

  1. Thank you, Heidi. I was wanting to be inside, out of the snow, the day I made this card — so looking out the window seemed apropos. 🙂
