TSOT 168: Memorial Day

I hope that you all had a restful Memorial Day.   I am particularly thankful on this day for the many men and women who have sacrificed much in order to protect the freedoms we enjoy in such abundance in the USA;  I am thankful for the military personnel past and present.

Unfortunately, the lighting for this picture was poor and did not pick up the effect that the striped embossing folder added to the card.  I chose the striped folder to continue the stars and stripes theme.  The stars are punched openings in the Whisper White, with Night of Navy and Real Red inserted behind the openings and each accented with a small rhinestone.

  1. Thank you for the great patriotic card. My son is a Marine and your comments are appreciated. The card sketch is perfect for this stamp set and makes for a very clean and simple card – perfect. Thanks for joining us at TSOT. Kathy – DT.

    1. Thank you, Kathy! My son is National Guard; I actually purchased this stamp last year when he was overseas. At one of my workshops we did little goodie packages/cards and sent them over to his unit.

  2. This is fantastic! I love the layout and the patriotic colors, great design. Thanks for joining us at Try Stampin’ on Tuesday. Hope to see you again soon!
